I've been getting really absorbed in the Conall thing lately (obviously a very good thing), but it's gotten so much so that I'm gaining alot more clarity with where Conall is heading. Some of the characters are adding real solidity to not just Conall, but the whole world he lives in.
I'm going to illuminate it for you. See Conall as like Final Fantasy, in that the real people actively interact with mythological creatures. They fight each other, they party, they form alliances. My main aim for the series is for viewer to take an interest in Celtic myth, but not through slavishly sticking to the myths themselves. I intend to create my own stories, my own myths, with alot of known and unknown mythes referenced. I'll have a whole range of characters, who you'll each want to follow, but Conall is the main focus and the mysteries he must discover and his lessons to be learned.
I have one teaser on the way and when I say teaser, it is really going to piss you off that you have to wait to say more. That's teasers for you. On the other hand, some teasers will be incredible short, but effective enticements, some revealing pieces and others not so much. Either way, I hope they'll keep you wanting more. That will only confirm to me that there's a market for a tv series like this and I can go to meetings with broadcasters with a big smile on me face.
